The United States may not be as far off and exotic as other places I’ve travelled to, but what keeps me coming back is the incredible variety of places to visit in the United States.
Whether I want to hike in the forest, ski on the mountains, explore the desert, relax on a beach, observe wildlife, learn about history, or be entertained in a big city, I can do it all during a trip to the United States. With so many things to see and do in the United States, not to mention the sheer size of the country, one trip to the USA is never enough.

California stretches over 1,200 km along the Pacific Ocean from the Mexican border to Oregon. It’s the most populous state in the U.S. and has a diverse geography that includes redwood forests in the north, Mojave Desert in the south, Sierra Nevada mountain range in the east, the Pacific Coast in the west, and a central agricultural area.

Florida is the southernmost contiguous state in the U.S. Bordered by the Gulf of Mexico on the west and Atlantic Ocean on the east, Florida has hundreds of miles of beaches, a tropical climate, and Latin-American cultural influences.

Georgia
Georgia is located in southeastern United States, above Florida. Nicknamed the Peach State, its terrain includes farmland, beaches, and mountains. Georgia is also home to numerous historic sites and state parks.

Louisiana
Louisiana is located along the Gulf of Mexico, in south-central United States, in a region known as the Deep South. The state has a multicultural heritage with influences from 18th-century French, Haitian, Spanish, Native American, and African cultures.

Nevada
Nevada is in the southwestern U.S., situated within the Mohave Desert and Great Basin. It’s the driest state in the country, with mostly desert and semi-arid climate regions. Besides its desert landscape and mountain ranges, Nevada is known for legalized gambling and the resort city of Las Vegas.

South Dakota is located in north-central United States, in a region known as the Midwest. Its landscape includes badlands, the Great Plains, and Black Hills mountain range.

Texas
Texas is in south-central U.S. and is the second largest state in the country. Traditionally thought of as cowboy country, Texas actually has a diversified economy and varied landscape, including coastal swamps, piney woods, rolling plains, desert, and mountains.

Utah
Utah is in the western U.S. and is a major destination for outdoor adventures. The state has five national parks (the third most of any state), and numerous other protected locations including national monuments, forests, and recreation areas. Northern Utah is home to many ski resorts.

Washington
Washington is in the northwest, bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and Canada to the north. Its geography includes the bays and fjords of Puget Sound, temperate rainforests, mountain ranges, and farmland.

Wyoming
Wyoming is in the western U.S. and is the least populous state. Its landscape consists mostly of high elevation prairies and the Rocky Mountains. Wyoming is best known for being home to the United States’ first national park (Yellowstone).
